“God’s Family Business!”

When God created man, it was for the purpose of fellowship with Him. God created man in His own image. God wanted someone that would be His companion. He wanted a family that would operate like He operates. This revelation will move us into God’s plan for our lives. God did not make man just so He can rule over him. He has angels that He rules over. He wants man to know what He knows and to operate like He operates.

In John 15:14-15 Jesus reveals,
“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what the Lord doeth; but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

In these verses we can plainly see that God wants intimacy with us and not servant hood only. It’s like being a part of a family business. A son or daughter that is involved in a family owned business knows what is going on in the business. An employee is basically limited in his understanding of the business. An employee is a servant. He is not a son. God is giving us a major revelation through the Bible on our position with Him. The Bible is God revealing Himself to us. He reveals His “heart” to us.

I’ve thought a lot about my position with God the Father. I keep hearing God’s Spirit tell me that my position with Him is in direct relationship with His Son’s position. It all happened by one man…Christ Jesus! We have no rights at all without faith in God by Jesus Christ. I put a lot of pressure on my faith in Jesus. I know that the Father loves Jesus and that Jesus loves me the same way. I know that what God did for Jesus, He will do for me, as an adopted son. We must become “family minded”. We are one with God as Jesus is.

We are family members with God. We once were lost but now we are found. We were sinners, but now we are righteous. God wants us to know the past is the past! We no longer have to think that we are not accepted by God the Father. Our sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus. We have a brand new start, because we have a change of heart.

God is now drawing us into a higher relationship with Him. When we were babies, we were treated differently than adults. As babies, we have a lack of knowledge and understanding. It’s the same way in the spirit realm. We start as babies in God’s family. God deals with us as parents deal with their babies. The more we grow, the more He reveals to us. God’s desire is to be able to treat us as sons. When Jesus was here on earth, He was given the ability by God, to change His world. As we grow in the Lord, we are given the ability to change our world.

Today, no matter what growth level you are at in the Lord, God has more for you. Do not stay stagnant. Move with the Holy Ghost. You’re in the family of God. God needs you to work in His business. God’s plans are big! He needs His kids to grow up spiritually. How? Some simple ways to begin growing up spiritually include: eating the Word; exercising the Word; pray; go to church; cut the world off and stop sinning.

If you do these simple things listed in this newsletter, you will grow up! As you grow, God will use you in His business to win the world!

I love you,

Pastor Paul

“God’s Understanding”

I want to encourage you to be a person of understanding. With God’s understanding, failure will be far behind you. The world today is looking for answers without God; and they do get answers, but many times the answers have satan’s interpretation on them. In Proverbs, the book of Wisdom, we find God’s heart revealed to us. Let’s look at a few scripture verses that deal with God’s understanding. In Proverbs 1:5 the Bible says;

“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning: and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsel.”

In verse 6, we can see that a wise man will understand a proverb and it’s interpretation, and the words of the wise and their dark sayings. This refers to deep knowledge that you can’t understand without God revealing it to you. Proverbs 19:8 says,

“He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.”

Now in this proverb, we can see very clearly that good comes by understanding. A person that lacks understanding cannot receive a lot of good.

When I was going to school as a boy, I didn’t see the importance of wisdom and knowledge. In fact, if I could have gotten out of it, I probably wouldn’t even have attended school. I was made to go, and it caused me to have some wisdom and understanding passed into me. I look back on those days now and think how ignorant I was. I started thinking about people today that have grown up and have gone to natural school but have never gone to spiritual school. In fact, they don’t even believe that the Bible is an important book. Can you imagine that God has written a book, and not very many people want to read it? God, the all-knowing One (that can help people solve all their problems), wrote a book; and people don’t take time to read it! What would you say is the problem with people? I think it’s just like me when I was going to school. I didn’t see the importance of being a person of knowledge and understanding.

One day a long time ago, I was at the shop I worked in, and I looked over at a dumpster that had trash in it. I thought to myself, “My life is like a dumpster.” It was full of trash, and it stunk. Something really went off in me that day. I knew I had to change my life; and from that day, I started setting a different course for my life. I decided the Bible was the book that could help me change my life. I started out on my adventures of faith! God has guided me into understanding that has given me freedom I didn’t even know existed. My mind is so excited about life today. It is just awesome! I wake up thinking God’s thoughts. I hear God’s voice on a consistent basis. I think at times that if things get any better, I will explode. God is so good. If you can only think like Him, you will be filled with God’s goodness. Proverbs 21:16 says,

“The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.”

I’m convinced that people who don’t continue increasing in wisdom and understanding will start dying. Every day should be a new day of learning all that God wants you to know. If you’re not a presser into knowledge and wisdom, why don’t you start today? Make yourself take the Bible and start studying until you have great delight in the study of the Word.

I love you,

Pastor Paul
