Many of us have had bad habits in our lives, and we just wish to God we hadn’t started doing them. I’ve got good news for you today. Those bad choices that got you into the jam you’re in now can be reversed by a new choice. You still have the power of choice. This power God has given man, and no devil of hell can take it away. No matter how many times you’ve blown it in the past, you still have the right to choose again.
God tells us in Deut. 30:19,
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death; blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live.”
God has placed in my power the authority to cause my life and my seeds’ lives to be blessed or to be cursed. The devil is powerless when I start making choices that go along with God’s will.
If you made bad choices in your past, and now you’re living as a slave to them, let me give you some hope. Jesus came to pay the price for the release of the slaves. Let me give you an example. If you were in prison, and the governor of the state sent a letter to you and said, “If you want me to pardon you, I will! In fact, as soon as I hear back from you, we will start the process of your release.” What would you be doing? I hope you would be asking to use a phone! If you couldn’t use a phone, you would start your letter back to the governor right away. The bad choices that got you into prison could be reversed by one choice, if you will simply act on your power of choice!
Well, Jesus is the governor of the whole earth. He is saying to the drug addict, “I will release you from drugs.” He is saying to the alcoholic, “I will release you from alcohol.” He is saying to the sinner of all kinds…MAKE A CHOICE TODAY CHOOSE LIFE! The devil wants you to think you can’t go free. But remember, as long as you have breath in your lungs, you have the power of choice.
In Romans 6:16-18 God tells us,
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servents ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”
In verse 12 He says,
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lust thereof.”
We have the power of choice! We don’t have to be cursed. Jesus came to let us know that if we choose His way, abundant life will come into our lives. Start seeing yourself as one that has been given the power to choose blessing instead of cursing. There are some things that I started choosing many years ago, and I choose not to quit no matter how big the problem seems to be. I choose to keep God #1 in my life. I choose to walk by faith and not by sight. I choose to live a life of love. I choose to walk in prosperity in every area of my life and resist lack. I choose to lead many people out of satan’s kingdom into God’s kingdom. I choose that my children and grandchildren will not serve the devil but serve God all the days of their lives. I choose to be a God-pleaser not a man-pleaser. I choose to love my wife more every day and live a peaceful and fulfilled life with her. These are just a few of the things that I choose. Many of these things have come to pass and are coming to pass in my life.
Why don’t you do some wise choosing today! Set a plan for your life. Choose things of eternal value and set your tongue or the words of your mouth to agree with God for your success. Use your voice and your faith to bring these things into your life. I love you,
We are God’s Special Forces team. We have been given an assignment from headquarters. It is to go into the enemy’s camp and take back what he has stolen from God.
What has the devil stolen from God? Mankind! Man was stolen from God by Satan’s work in the Garden of Eden. Jesus came to start the biggest prison break that man has ever known. Right now men, women, boys, and girls are walking out of Satan’s prison all over the world. We are God’s storm troopers, and we are ready for action!
So many Christians today don’t comprehend the mission, or their part in it. Satan wants to keep these people blinded so that his killing, stealing, and destroying will go unchecked. But it’s a new day! We will not lay down on the job. Our God has brought deliverance to us, and we will bring the freedom message to those who are in Satan’s prison.
First of all, we must be motivated to do what we are commissioned to do. How does this happen? Words! Words! Words! Until we hear words that describe to us what our job is in the kingdom of God, we will never experience doing it. We can't do anything we don’t understand, and we will never understand without training. It’s all about training, which leads to the second thing that has to happen if we're going to really accomplish God’s plan for our life - Discipleship! Motivation comes by discipleship. Jesus told the men that He called, “Come and follow me, and be my disciples.” The word “disciple” means to discipline oneself to another’s teachings or way of life. For three and a half years Jesus had 12 men following Him around, and He was giving them a bird’s eye view of how to live like God. Jesus lived like God, and He taught His disciples to do the same thing. Satan knows if man lives like God, then he will no longer be able to operate in that person’s life.
Jesus had all power over the devils and demons. He was training men to operate in the same power that He had. The devil does not want people to get saved, because he wants to take as many people to hell with him as he can. Those who go to the Holy Ghost University learn how to live the life of Christ on the earth where Satan is. He knows these people must be stopped, because these people will stop devils! Satan can do whatever he wants around believers that are not disciples, because they don’t have the power to really walk like Jesus. To really have the power of God, one must commit to God wholeheartily. Jesus asked some people to follow Him in Luke 9:57-62 and they had excuses. In verse 62 Jesus said,
“No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
When we read this in context, we see Jesus talking about discipleship. It is time to really commit ourselves to discipleship. Let God train you to be storm troopers in these last days. There are people that need to be delivered. Let’s be the trained Army of the Lord.
